Geneva, CH - Here is a wonderful little discovery that was not in the A. Lange & Söhne press kit, little being the operative word. While Lange timepieces generally enjoy equal appreciation with both male and female watch lovers, not many Langes are designed exclusively for the ladies. No larger than 34mm in diameter and only 8mm high, the elegant LITTLE SAXONIA has one of the smallest calibres ever built by the company ticking inside the white, yellow and rose gold cases. But even at under 26mm diameter, it has everything a Lange owner can expect when looking through the sapphire glass caseback - complete with 3/4 plate and gold chatons secured by blued screws. With its diamond-studded case and mother-of-pearl dial, the LITTLE SAXONIA will make its wearer shine on a very special night out, which is why it's been given the nickname 'Soirée'.

The art collection of the Green Vault in the Royal Palace of Dresden is famous far beyond the borders of Saxony. It is where Augustus the Strong began to assemble a huge repository of untold splendour, with a focus on filigreed works by goldsmiths and silversmiths, precious jewels and exotic materials. The people of Saxony still have an ingrained penchant for beauty, and the same passion continues to inspire Lange's master watchmakers day after day.

The LITTLE SAXONIA - the latest offspring of htis passion - is also the smallest member of the SAXONIA family. With a diameter of only 38 millimetres and a height of 8 millimetres, the elegant timepiece is a perfect fit for the feminine wrist. Set with 52 brilliant-cut diamonds, its case and the scintillating dial in natural mother-of-pearl give it the splendour that befits such an opus.

Technically, the artisanal finissage of the movement inside the dainty timepiece is as sublime as the classy appearance of this work of art. The sapphire-crystal caseback reveals a truly admirable masterpiece of Saxon precision watchmaking: just under 26 millimetres in diameter, the movement is endowed with all the assets that identify it as a typical Lange calibre - from the three-quarter plate and the gold chatons secured with blued screws to the whiplash precision index adjuster. Each individual hour marker of the LITTLE SAXONIA is painstakingly applied by hand.
