it´s a pleasure to introduce a sight often wished for, but not available until now:
Girard-Perregaux "Vintage 1966"

new bracelet Girard-Perregaux extends the choice by a very classic addition, a range of solid gold bracelets in a timeless, classic look.
The new bracelets are interchangeable with the straps offered for the Vintage 1966, thus a later addition (or completion) of the watch is a new option.
The bracelets, making use of 60´s-style "brick"-type links, represents two major considerations. First of all, the bracelets are intended to enhance the wearing comfort, which is widely appreciated particularly in hot and humid areas. As we know, moisture doesn´t do well to leather - hence the bracelet will be a long-lasting and practical component to add. Second, the bracelet design picks up the design elements of the watch, combining details found in the 50´s and 60´s with modernity and practicality. The final judgement is left to each, but to me the new bracelet does succeed with bravour; it´s matching the watch look in a very nice way.
As with any GP case and bracelet parts, fine craftmanship and fine materials rule. The new bracelet for the Vintage 1966 is no exception, as to be expected by the trained eyes of a genuine manufacture entertaining workshops for the bracelet and watch case production.
The new bracelets, which will be available later this year, do match the two colours of the Vintage 1966; White Gold or Rose Gold, the choice is up to you:
To come back to the details, the new bracelet cater the watch intended to be a classic dress piece. Hence the thickness is limited, in order to allow the watch easily fit under a sleeve and to be particularly comfortable on the wrist. The "brick" links account for high flexibility of the bracelet, which almost "flows" around the wrist. The hidden double folding clasp rounds up the bracelet and ensures a firm lock.
In an overview, the new bracelets create a very complete sub-portfolio and will go nice with any dial colour.
In almost no time, the Vintage 1966 turned into one of the most popular models of Girard-Perregaux and i´m quite confident the new bracelets will win this model new hearts.
All in all, to me it´s a long-awaited addition and something to feel in nature; particularly for bracelets there´s nothing like feeling and seeing it on your own wrist, thus it´s a new addition to look forward to!
