小豬兄,道林先生又來啦
Hi All;
Everyone who is interested now knows about the steel Submariner, launched last week, but did you know at the same show they launched a new range topper for the Submariner range?
The Emerald Submariner, not a limited edition, but most certainly limited in production as it used perfect natural untreated emeralds, the most difficult to obtain.
Here is the Press release, more images to follow the release.
From New York to Shanghai, from Milan to Buenos Aires, from generation to generation, from 1953 to today, from tomorrow to forever… A myth developed progressively, and continues perpetually: the myth of the Submariner. A myth rooted in the universal strength of its design, the timeless power of its image and the refined elegance of its lines.
The myth magnified.
In 18 ct white gold, the Oyster Perpetual Submariner Emerald is none other than the myth magnified, a majestic variation on a watch that has evolved in a universe apart since its first appearance in the early 1950s.
This rare, exclusive Submariner is radiance in a watch, the focal point of a world that brilliantly combines a taste for action and sensuousness, boldness and sensitivity.
In the mould of the original. Faithful to the legendary model whose story it continues, it reinterprets the codes with finesse. Its unidirectional rotatable bezel, set with 36 emeralds and 12 diamonds, echoes the Submariner introduced in 2003 with a green bezel in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the model.
This colour, so often associated with Rolex, is also featured on the green Cerachrom bezel of the new steel Submariner model presented at BASELWORLD 2010.
The Submariner Emerald is a watch of intense prestige. With its dial set with 8 emeralds and the centre links of its bracelet set with diamonds, it is an invitation to dream, to escape for a moment from time, time of which it is nonetheless the staunch and resolute guardian.
Respecting Rolex standards.
Equipped with a mechanical self-winding movement fitted with a Perpetual rotor and a Parachrom hairspring, the Submariner Emerald upholds all the standards of chronometric precision that have built the reputation of Rolex watches. Its case pays tribute to the waterproofness of the Oyster collection.
The Submariner Emerald remains a reliable and precise timepiece, the very essence of a Rolex watch.
In truth, I am not too keen on the Paved dial version but I could be persuaded to wear the first one, if it came without the diamonds on the bracelet. |
